Information we collect
Reroute stores core app data generated by your use of the app — including mission history, streak data, app selections, and Screen Time settings — on your device using local SQLite storage. This core app data is not sold and is not used for advertising.
Reroute also collects limited analytics information to understand app performance, feature usage, and reliability. This may include events such as app opens, screen views, feature interactions, device and app version information, approximate region, and diagnostic or usage metadata. We do not use analytics to read the content of your connected social media accounts or WebView sessions.
Cookies and local storage
Reroute uses cookies and local storage within its built-in WebView to maintain login sessions for the social apps you connect (e.g. Instagram). These cookies are stored locally on your device only. Reroute does not read, transmit, or process the content of these cookies. Without them, you would be required to sign in to connected apps every time you use Reroute.
Live Activities and Notifications
When you start a session, Reroute creates a Live Activity and registers an anonymous, session-scoped push token with our scheduling service, operated by Reroute on Cloudflare, so the Live Activity can be updated and ended on time through Apple Push Notification service. We use Apple's App Attest to verify requests come from a genuine instance of the app. This data is tied to a temporary session, not to your identity, and is discarded when the session ends.
Payment Details
Purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple and managed with RevenueCat. Reroute does not collect, store, or have access to your full payment card information. RevenueCat may process purchase status, subscription status, product identifiers, transaction identifiers, and related purchase metadata so we can unlock paid features and manage entitlements. Please refer to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details on how payment data is handled.
Third-Party Services
Reroute uses the following third-party services to operate and improve the app:
- PostHog: used for product analytics and diagnostics. Analytics events may be sent to PostHog, including to us.i.posthog.com.
- RevenueCat: used to manage purchases, subscriptions, and paid-feature entitlements.
- Apple: used for App Store distribution, in-app purchases, subscriptions, and related platform services.
We do not sell personal information and do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Kids' Privacy
Reroute does not address anyone under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to address it.
Links to Other Websites
Reroute's WebView may load third-party websites such as Instagram. Our Privacy Policy applies only to Reroute itself. Your activity within those third-party sites is subject to their own privacy policies.
Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the United States without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.
Your Consent
By using Reroute or making a purchase, you consent to this Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.
Information about General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
GDPR is an EU-wide privacy and data protection law. Core app data remains on your device, and deleting the app removes locally stored app data from your device. Because Reroute uses analytics and purchase services, limited analytics and purchase-related data may be processed by Reroute or our service providers as described in this Privacy Policy. You may contact us with privacy questions or requests about data associated with your use of Reroute.
California Residents (CCPA / CalOPPA)
We do not sell personal information. Reroute uses limited analytics and purchase services as described above. You may contact us at any time with questions about your data rights or requests related to personal information associated with your use of Reroute.
Changes To Our Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you through the app before changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
